Patch repairs are extremely common on rendered buildings and they change what a clean can deliver, so it is worth understanding how they behave. A repair rarely matches. The mix differs, the aggregate differs, the texture is applied by a different hand and the patch has weathered for a different length of time than the wall around it. When everything is uniformly green, none of that shows. Once the growth is removed, all of it does. Repairs also colonise differently. A newer patch is denser and less absorbent than the surrounding older render, so it stays cleaner and dries faster, which means it frequently appears as a lighter area even before treatment. Conversely, a poorly executed patch using a weak mix can be more absorbent than its surroundings and carry noticeably heavier growth. Edges are the giveaway. Almost every repair has a visible perimeter where new material meets old, and treatment makes that line clearer rather than softer. None of this is an argument against cleaning. A patched wall still improves substantially, and the alternative is a patched wall covered in algae. What it is an argument for is honesty at survey, so nobody expects a uniform finish from a building repaired half a dozen times over thirty years. Treatment itself adapts. Patches of differing porosity within one elevation are treated as separate areas rather than swept through in a single uniform pass, with dilution and dwell adjusted so newer material is not over-treated and older is not under-treated. Properties in Down Field carrying visible repairs are photographed and described elevation by elevation before any work is agreed.
Customers frequently ask, once a wall has been properly assessed, who they should get to repair the render, deal with a leaking joint or recoat an elevation. The answer given here is deliberately limited. Where there is genuine experience of a trade, meaning work seen on properties we have treated afterwards, a name is offered along with the reason for it. That is worth something, because it comes from having watched the outcome rather than from an arrangement. Where there is not, no name is given at all. Passing a customer to somebody unknown in exchange for reciprocal work is common in this trade and it serves the customer least of all, since the recommendation carries no information whatever and yet arrives with the weight of one. What is provided instead is a written description of the problem in terms a customer can take to anybody: what was found, where, how extensive it is and what it appears to be doing. That is far more useful when obtaining three quotations from trades we have never met than a single name would be. No commission, referral fee or reciprocal arrangement operates in either direction, which is precisely why the advice can be given plainly. The same discipline applies to products as well as to trades. No coating, sealer or additional treatment is recommended for use after a clean, because none of them is needed. Householders in Down Field therefore receive an honest assessment of what a wall requires beyond cleaning, and are left entirely free to choose whoever they wish to carry it out.
A wall carrying visible repairs is priced the same as any other in most respects, but the survey does two additional things that affect the eventual figure. The first is assessing whether the existing repairs are sound. A patch that has bonded properly and is weathering normally is simply part of the wall, and the property prices as it would otherwise: £280 to £430 terraced, £400 to £620 semi-detached and £550 to £880 detached, at £4 to £8 per square metre. The second is identifying any repairs that are already failing. Patches sounding hollow, edges lifting, or filler used where render should have been are all recorded, and those areas are excluded from treatment rather than washed over. Excluding them reduces the treatable area slightly, which reduces the price, but it also means the elevation will not look uniform and that is stated plainly. Where repairs are extensive enough that cleaning would produce a distinctly patchwork result, Pro Clean Xtreme says so and lets the customer decide. Some proceed happily, on the reasoning that patchy and clean beats patchy and green. Others prefer to deal with the render first, and a written assessment is provided free of charge to help them do that. What never happens is a repaired wall being quoted as though it will finish uniformly. The additional survey time costs nothing and prevents the only genuinely unhappy outcome in this trade, which is a customer expecting one result and receiving another. Properties in Down Field are quoted with repairs identified individually within the written scope.
Remove years of dirt, grime, algae and staining for a cleaner, fresher finish.
Professional techniques designed to protect your surfaces while delivering outstanding results.
Keep your property looking its best with regular render cleaning.
Keep your property looking clean, fresh and well maintained with professional render cleaning in Down Field. Over time, rendered walls can become affected by algae, moss, dirt, staining and other environmental contaminants, leaving the exterior looking tired and discoloured. Our professional render cleaning service is designed to safely restore the appearance of rendered surfaces without causing unnecessary damage.
Textile, upholstery, furniture and soft furnishing manufacturers present render cleaning around production processes that are unusually sensitive to moisture and airborne contamination. Stored materials are the first consideration at these premises. Fabric, foam, timber, board, leather and finished goods are all stored in quantity, frequently near external doors and loading areas, and none of it tolerates damp. Anything within reach of the working area is relocated or comprehensively sheeted, and shutters and doors stay closed while adjoining elevations are treated. Extraction plant is the second consideration. Cutting, sewing, spraying, finishing and dust extraction plant all draw air, and intakes serving those operations are identified and isolated before equipment is unloaded. Spray booths and finishing areas in particular are treated as exclusion zones for the duration of the work. Production schedules govern timing. Many of these businesses run single or double shifts with a genuine shutdown at weekends, which makes a Saturday the natural window, and larger sites frequently have a planned annual closure that suits a whole-building programme. The soiling on these elevations is mixed, with process dust and yard grime bonded alongside ordinary organic growth, so treatment addresses both together. Yard and delivery arrangements are agreed in advance, with exclusion zones, banksman cover and phasing so loading continues uninterrupted throughout. Documentation is issued with every quotation: risk assessments, method statements, COSHH data sheets and public liability certification. Production and site managers responsible for premises in Down Field can arrange a survey covering every rendered elevation, receive a written specification and a fixed price, and agree a phased programme built around production.

Lindsay and her colleague did a fantastic job on my home and for such a good price. Whilst I try my best to maintain cleanliness, as a dog boarder my home can quickly feel out of control and myself overwhelmed. Lindsay and her colleague literally made my house a home again in a fantastic clean standard. It feels like my home again and smells amazing. There was nothing they missed!! They were brilliant and I will be using them again.Posted on Google![]()

Thank you Mark and Callum for an excellent job done and a great result! I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone thinking of having their roof cleaned. They arrived on time, carried out the work very efficiently, were very friendly and courteous, worked hard and did a great clean up after a very dirty job removing a considerable layer of moss on my roof. Best of all they used a ‘cherry picker’ which meant no scaffolding or access towers and were able to reach every part of my roof to the highest point. Well done to you both.Posted on Google![]()

Excellent service and highly recommend. We had a large block paving patio completely cleaned and re-sanded and it looks brand new! Great communication and hard workers. Before and after photos added.
There is no fixed schedule as it depends on the property’s location, exposure and surrounding environment. Render that is shaded or surrounded by trees may require cleaning more frequently.
