Reaching the top of a rendered wall safely is one of the defining problems of this trade, and the way it is solved has changed considerably. Traditionally, height meant ladders or scaffold. Both are poor answers on render. A ladder resting against a freshly treated elevation marks it, cannot be moved often enough to give even coverage, and puts an operative in a poor position to work methodically. Scaffold is expensive, slow to erect, disruptive to a garden and rarely justified for a single day of cleaning. Extended soft wash equipment resolves most of it. Telescopic poles carrying the nozzle to the top of two and three storey elevations allow solution to be applied accurately from level ground, with the operative able to see the whole wall and work top down in proper overlapping passes. Reach of fifteen to twenty metres is achievable, which covers gable apexes, dormer faces and the upper sections of most houses without any equipment touching the building at all. Technique matters at least as much as reach does. At full extension the nozzle is a long way from the operator, so passes are worked slowly and deliberately, wind is watched constantly, and coverage is checked by wetting pattern rather than assumed from the ground. Two operatives are often used, one applying and one confirming coverage from a different angle. Where a building genuinely exceeds pole reach, or where a gable stands behind an obstruction, a tower or powered platform is specified instead and its cost included in the quotation. Pro Clean Xtreme establishes which applies at survey, so properties in Gamlingay with tall gables are quoted accurately rather than optimistically.
Knowing what a survey involves makes it easier to get value from it, so here is what actually happens. It takes twenty to forty minutes on an ordinary house, and rather longer where outbuildings are involved. The whole perimeter is walked, including elevations not visible from the road, and every rendered surface is identified: main walls, gables, dormer faces, porch returns, bay sides, attached and detached garages, outbuildings, boundary walls and rendered plinths. Each elevation is measured, and rendered area is separated from brickwork, timber and anything else that will be protected rather than treated. The render system is identified by inspection, along with its texture and how porous it appears, because dilution and dwell follow directly from that. Growth is graded elevation by elevation, from light algae through established black staining to mature lichen and moss, which determines whether one application will do or whether a second visit should be specified. That grading is written into the quotation rather than kept back. Condition is recorded. Cracking, hollow sections, previously painted areas, permanent staining and anything cleaning will reveal rather than resolve is noted and pointed out at the time. Access is assessed properly: side passage widths, ground conditions, obstructions, conservatories, standing space and whether a tower or platform is required. You will be asked a few things too, principally whether there is an outside tap, whether gates are locked, whether pets use the garden, and whether any planting is particularly precious. The quotation follows in writing, fixed. Householders in Gamlingay pay nothing for the visit and are under no obligation afterwards, whatever the assessment turns out to recommend.
The gap between the cheapest quotation and a properly priced one is usually a hundred and fifty pounds or so, and it is worth knowing exactly what that difference buys. It buys proper preparation before anything is applied. An hour or more sheeting glazing, masking fittings, saturating planting and covering drainage, none of which appears in the finished result but all of which prevents the damage that turns a clean into a claim. It buys full coverage. Whole elevations treated top down in overlapping passes rather than the visibly dirty sections rinsed off, which is what stops banding appearing weeks later as treated areas clear unevenly. It buys correct dilution. Solution mixed through a proportioning system so the last pass is the same strength as the first, rather than mixed by eye and drifting between refills. It buys dwell time. The crew staying while the biocide works, instead of rinsing early to reach another job, which is the difference between killing growth and merely wetting it. It buys the right access. Equipment specified for the elevation rather than a ladder propped somewhere unsuitable, with the cost included rather than added afterwards. Most of all, it buys the years in between. A properly treated wall holds three to five years; a rushed one recolonises within twelve to eighteen months, so the saving is spent again almost immediately and often more than once. Standard pricing reflects all of that: £280 to £430 terraced, £400 to £620 semi-detached, £550 to £880 detached, and £4 to £8 per square metre. Quotations for properties in Gamlingay are surveyed, written and fixed.

Keep your property looking its best with regular render cleaning.
Keep your property looking clean, fresh and well maintained with professional render cleaning in Gamlingay. Over time, rendered walls can become affected by algae, moss, dirt, staining and other environmental contaminants, leaving the exterior looking tired and discoloured. Our professional render cleaning service is designed to safely restore the appearance of rendered surfaces without causing unnecessary damage.
Transport buildings present render cleaning in an environment where the public never really goes away and where the soiling is unusually heavy. Station buildings, bus and coach interchanges, multi-storey and surface car parks, park and ride facilities, taxi ranks and their associated offices and waiting rooms all sit alongside continuous vehicle movement, and their rendered elevations accumulate exhaust deposits, brake dust, road film and general traffic grime alongside organic growth. Treatment therefore has to work chemically on living material and physically on bonded atmospheric soiling, since dealing with one alone leaves either a green wall or a grey one. Public safety planning dominates the programme. Pedestrian flows through these buildings are constant and often hurried, so exclusion zones are established with barriers, signage and supervision, and alternative routes are agreed with the operator before mobilisation. Work is normally programmed for the quietest periods, which frequently means overnight or early on a Sunday. Vehicle interaction is managed alongside it. Bays are suspended in sections, standing space for equipment is agreed in advance, and any powered access is sited with ground bearing, service routes and overhead clearance assessed beforehand. Protection covers ticket machines, information displays, lighting, cameras, help points, shelters, seating, barriers and any electrical equipment within reach of the working area. Documentation accompanies every instruction: site-specific risk assessments, method statements addressing public interface explicitly, COSHH data sheets and public liability certification. Operators and facilities teams responsible for transport premises in Gamlingay can arrange a survey, a written specification, a fixed price and a phased programme built around service patterns.

Lindsay and her colleague did a fantastic job on my home and for such a good price. Whilst I try my best to maintain cleanliness, as a dog boarder my home can quickly feel out of control and myself overwhelmed. Lindsay and her colleague literally made my house a home again in a fantastic clean standard. It feels like my home again and smells amazing. There was nothing they missed!! They were brilliant and I will be using them again.Posted on Google![]()

Thank you Mark and Callum for an excellent job done and a great result! I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone thinking of having their roof cleaned. They arrived on time, carried out the work very efficiently, were very friendly and courteous, worked hard and did a great clean up after a very dirty job removing a considerable layer of moss on my roof. Best of all they used a ‘cherry picker’ which meant no scaffolding or access towers and were able to reach every part of my roof to the highest point. Well done to you both.Posted on Google![]()

Excellent service and highly recommend. We had a large block paving patio completely cleaned and re-sanded and it looks brand new! Great communication and hard workers. Before and after photos added.
There is no fixed schedule as it depends on the property’s location, exposure and surrounding environment. Render that is shaded or surrounded by trees may require cleaning more frequently.
