WHERE IT BEGAN
Gutter clearance
A gutter vacuum and a practical service for local homeowners.
Established in 2016 and based in March, Cambridgeshire, Pro Clean Xtreme brings a family-run level of care to domestic work and the structure, staff and equipment needed for commercial projects.
Built from the ground up
Personal care with proper structure
Serving the surrounding counties
Homes, businesses and managed sites
In 2016, Karl Crofts started Pro Clean Xtreme with a gutter vacuum and one straightforward service: clearing guttering.
A window-cleaning system followed, but Karl wanted more variety than repeating the same round every day. Customers were already asking about pressure washing, so he invested in the equipment and added the service.
That same approach—listening to customers and investing carefully—has shaped the business ever since.

Karl and Lindsay Crofts own Pro Clean Xtreme. Lindsay worked as a teaching assistant while their children were young, which allowed family life to work around the school holidays. Throughout that time, she helped behind the scenes with the intention of joining the business when the children were older.
She later joined Pro Clean Xtreme and developed its internal cleaning division, providing regular and one-off domestic and commercial cleaning. Their sons, Tyler and Connor, also work alongside Karl when they are not at college.
Karl’s nephew, Callum, has been with the business for two years and has become what Karl calls his right-hand man, working closely with him across the day-to-day operation.
The company also has valued team members from outside the family who carry out commercial work. Relevant training, checks and working procedures are put in place for the jobs they undertake.
